B reaches the T junction earlier and turns right. Both of them continue travelling till 2:00pm. What is the distance between A and B at 2:00pm?

Distance travelled by A and B in 2 hours i. e. till 12 noon is 40km and 80 km respectively.
This means the T junction is 40 km from starting point.
A is at the T junction at 12 noon while B is 40km away towards right of the junction.
In another 2 hours, A covers a distance of : 20 * 2= 40 km towards left turn,
while B covers : 40*2=80km towards right.
so,
total distance between A and B is: 40 km(A towards left of junction)+120 km(B towards right of junction)= 160km

Ans is 160. Because A is runing at a speed of 20 kms and reaches after 2hours but speed of B is double. B will reache at 11:00 am nd travell 120kms till 2:00 pm A travels 40km till 2 so total is 160kms

the distance of T junction from their home=40km.so when A reach at T junction B ahead from A by 40km.
after 2hr A covered 40km and B covered 80km. so the distance between A and B is 160km.

d=20*2=40 initial
with in 2 hrs 10 to 12

a2+b2=c2
b2=6400-1600=4800

Since distance between A and B at 2pm is 120+40=160km

guyz its so simple..A can travel 20kmph and B can travel 40kmph..Remember B travels double faster than A.So at 12:00 , A will be at T covering 40kmph where B already covers that 40 kmph and also travels another 40 turning right ..After two hours a goes left travelling another 40 kmph..Inthe meantime b travles 80..Now B is at 40+80=120 km from T junction and 120+40(dist covered by a turning left) = 160kmph
