88 is factor of 2 ,4 ,8, 11 ,88
it cannot end with odd number so a and b is eliminated
the number x2 should be divisible by 8 so 72 is divisible by 8
answer is 727232

72X23Y wld b divisible by 8and 11 as well.
so,Remainder of (23Y/8)wld b 0.=>Y=2.
and 72X23Y wld b divisible by 11 if [(3+X+7)-(Y+2+2)]
or [(3+X+7)-(2+2+2)] or (10+X-6) or (X+4)is divisible by 11.
It is pssble wen X=11-4=7
so,X=7,Y=2.Ans.Option (d)

the co prime of 88 is 11 and 8
hence last three digit should divide by 8. hence last digit should be 2
then for divisibility of 11 0dd term - even term should be 0 or multiple of 11.

the chances of y(8,6,4,2,0)
so the chances are option "c" and "d"
try with option c balance will be there
so answer is option d

To make it perfectly divisible by 88,
we have to make it divisible by 11 and 8,
so make it divisible by 8 last three digit should be divisible by 8, that's why y=2
232 is divisible by 8,
now to make divisible by 11
11's divisibility rule =sum of all values at odd place -sum of all values at even place should be 0 or 11
3+x+7-2+2+2
so x=7
answer is x=7,y=2

the answer is x=7 and y=2
the number 88 is the even number as we consider the choice we have option c and d having the even number 2 at the place of y . so after checking both of the options u can perfectly divide the number with 88 .
