let c.p be x,
1st s.p =(120/100)x=6x/5
2nd s.p=(80/100)x=4x/5
filnal profit 20% so
120/100 * 4x/5
120 rs less so
6x/5 - 24x/25 =120
x=500

let cost price=x; selling price=120%(x)

new cost price=80%(x) i,e 20% less than previous cost price

new selling price= 120%(x)-120 therefore from the question

but new selling price = 120%(80%x) therefore from cost price
120%(80%(x))=120%(x)-120
x=500

120% of x = 5x/4
80% of x= 4x / 5
120% of 4x/5= 24x/5
5x/4 - 24x/25 = rs120
cp=RS 500

cp2=0.80cp1
sp2=sp1-120
sp2=1.20cp2
thn solving all
sp1-120=1.20(0.80cp1)
cp1=500

LET cp = X
cp sp
case1: X 1.2X (when profit 20%)

case2: 0.8x 1.2x-120 (when sp is less than 120 )

(sp-cp)/cp = 20/100 (profit %)----------(1)
put value of sp and cp in equation (1)
x = 500

ans=x=500

let cost prize in 1st case =x
then sell it to get profit 20% then

sp1=x+x*20%=(6x/5)

next statement says that he bought 20% less means that
new cost prize=80% of that x ;
and still get profit so sp=new cp*120/100

sp2=80x/100 *120/100
sp2=24x/25
a/c 120 less means sp1-sp2=120
6x/5-24x/25=120
x=500 ans

A item remain=1-17/36=19/36
A item buy back=2/36
total of A item=19/36+2/36=21/36
the item B sold=15/84
item remain=1-15/84=(84-15)/84=69/84
item C sold=3/504
item C remain=1-3/504=(504-3)/504=501/504
fractions A,B,C =21/36 + 69/84 + 501/504 = (1209/504)
