a:b =2:3 and b:c =5:8
=> b:c = (5*3/5) : (8*3/5) (multiplying with 3/5 on both sides to make b ratio 3)
=> b:c = 3 : (24/5)
=> a:b:c = 2:3:(245)
=> a:b:c = 10:15:24
a+b+c = 10x+15x+24x =98
=>49x=98
=>x=2
so second number is 30

a+b+c=98
a/b=2/3 >>a=2b/3
b/c=5/8 >>c=8b/5
so putting these values in eqn 1
2b/3+b+8b/5=98
b=36.ans

Total Sum of three Numbers is 98.Assume them to be a,b,c

a:b=2:3

b:c=5:8


a+b+c=98


Given
a:b=2:3

so,
a/b=2/3
a=2b/3

Given
b:c=5:8
b/c=5/8

c=8b/5


Now Substituting in the equation a+b+c=98
(2b/3)+b+(8b/5)=98
10b+15b+24b=1470

b=30

Then
a=20======>a=2b/3=(2*30)/3

c=(8*30)/5=48

A;B=2:3 AND B:C=5:8 then A:B:C=10:15:24 after that we have to find 10x+15x+24x=98(given), we obtain x=2 den second number is 15*2=30 ans

x:y=2/3.
y/z=5/8
so ,x:y:z=10:15:24
y=30
