If present ages of Pooja=x and Narmadha=y, then
x-y=9 ---(i) &
4y=x ---(ii)
On solving (i) & (ii), x=12, y=3

Narmadha's age = N-(P-N)
P=N+9
P=4[N-(P-N)]
By solving,
N= 15years
P= 24years

POOJA'S AGE IS 21 YEARS & NARMADHA'S AGE IS 12 YEARS, B'COZ->
(12-9)*4=21-9 -> 3*4=12->12=12 &
21-12=9YEARS

Say pooja's present age is X, narmadha's age is y
When pooja y yrs old ,her age is 4times greater than narmadha's and 9yrs older
narmadas age at that time is say z
So y=4*z
Y-z=9
Solving we get z=3&y=12
So when narmadha's age is 12 pooja's present age is 12+9=21

For example, Pooja's present age Narmadha's present age (Difference should be 9years)
24 15
you were when I was your present age;
15 6
now, four times as old as you were when I was ur present age = 6*4 = 24 is pooja's present present age.
(condition satisfied)
In equation, Pooja Narmadha
P-(P-N) N-(P-N)
P=N+9
P= 4[N-(P-N)]
By solving, N=15years
P= 24years

p-n=9.....(1)
now when p was n yrs old,narmada was n/4 yrs.
after (n-n/4) yrs narmada becomes n yrs old.
so eq(1) becomes n+3n/4-n=9
