father age = 68 and mother age=60

Sum of ages of all 6 sons = average age of all sons * number of sons
= 8*6
= 48
Sum of age of all Family = Father's Age + Sum of ages of all sons + Mother's age
22 * 8 = F + 48 + M ................(1)
F = M+8........(2)
So, F+M+48 = 22*8 (from eq. (1))
M+8+M+48 = 176 (from eq. (2))
M = 60 years
