let multiplication of two nos be x.Therefore we can write the equation 76x-67x=288. solving we get x=32. so product =32x67=2144.

Let us check out the options..
The condition of the problem is like this: x*67=y (Multilication of x and 67 is y)------------(1)
x is the number
y is the answer

67 is mis spelt as 76 and the answer is 288 larger than it should have i.e., x*76=y +288
y+288/76 = x(answer)-------(2)

option A satisfies the above conditions
our y=2144

x = 2144+288/76 = 2432/76
x = 32
Now substitute this value in equation (1) x*67=y
32*67 = 2144(which is our 'y' again)

looking at the option which is divisible by 67..
here optn (a) and (c) divisible by 67..
now according to the question 288 add to the both options and correct ans should be divisible by the 76..
2144+288 divisible by 76...
so ans is option (a)2144

let x be the second number n y1 be the actual product and y2 be the result bcz of wrong copying.
76*x=y2
67*x=y1
y2=288+y1
after solving the above 3 equation we will get y1=2144
so the correct answer is a) 2144
