1/16+1/24+h=1/8
h=1/8-(1/16+1/24)
=1/48.
answer: a)48 days

jack one day efficiency is 6.25%
paul one day efficiency is 4.16%
total efficiency of jack,paul,hari is 12.5%
hari efficiency is 12.5-(6.25+4.16)=2.09%
therefor time taken by hari=100/2.09=48 days

jake's 1 day work is 1/16
paul's 1 day work is 1/24
jake and paul 1 day's work=1/16+1/24=5/48

jake,paul and hari 1day work=1/8

hari's 1 day work=1/8-5/48=1/48

hari alone can do the work in 48 days
so ans z a)48

Hari alone work = 1/8 -(1/16 + 1/24)
= 1/8 - 5/48
=1/48
therefore,
Hari alone work done = 48 days

c=1/8-1/16-1/24
c=1/48
so c means hari can dig a wall in 48 days

assume work=1 unit
jake can dig a well in 16days so, 1/16
then paul can dig same well in 24days so,1/24
now three of them can dig the well in 8days so,1/8
jake + paul + hari = 1/8
1/16 + 1/24 + 1/hari = 1/8
1/hari =1/8 - 1/16 - 1/24
lcm of (8,16,24) is 48
1/hari = (6-3-2)/48
1/hari = (6-5)/48
1/hari = 1/48
so,hari alone can dig the well in 48 days.
