let the marbles be x before the first game.

after first game .... marbles left is x/2
after second game .... marbles left is x/2 + 11x/2
after third game..... marbles left is x/2 + 11x/2 + 9

now x/2 + 11x/2 + 9 =21
12x/2 = 12
x = 2

Ans is option c) 2

end of first game, i lost 1 ..... left 1
end of second game, i won 1*11=11 ..... left 1+11=12
end of third game, i won 9 ..... left 12+9=21

let the no of marble before first game is x
after first game no of marbles=x/2
after second game no of marbles=x/2+11*x/2=6x
after 3rd game no of marble=6x+9=21
6x+9=21
x=2

a) 8
8/2=4
4+4*11=48
48+9=52 which is not equal to 21
b) 6
6/2=3
3+3*11=36
36+9=45 not equal to 21
c) 2
2/2=1
1+1*11=12
12+9=21 hence answer

let i had x no of marbles at first.
after first game i had x/2
after second game i had 11*x/2
after third game i had 9
x/2+11*x/2+9=21
or, 6x+9=21
or,x=2
ans-C
