Relative speed=70+50=120m/h
Distance D =300miles
then time to meet each other=300/120=2.5hrs

after 1 hr,train A covers 70 miles,train B has (300-50) 250 miles yet to be covered
after 2 hrs,train A covers 140 miles,train B has (300-100) 200 miles yet to be covered
after 2.5 hrs,train A covers 175 miles ,train B has (300-125)175 miles yet to be covered
Therefore,the two trains meet or crash after 2.5 hrs if they start at the same time.
