so,
L-A=-8
L+A=12

solution:
L+A=12-----------eq(1)
apple costs 8 more than lemon,
=>A=L+8
=>A-L=8----------eq(2)

By solving (1) and (2),

A+L=12
A - L = 8
--------------
A=10
-------------

substituting (A) in (1),
L=12-10

=>L=2..
ANSWER:cost of lemon is 2

ans is 2. as we know a lemon and an apple together cost rs 12. and an apple cost rs 8 more than a lemon so if we take the cost of a lemon x the the equation will b x+(8+x)=12...from here we get x=2

lemon=x and apple= x+8
substitute in 1
x+x+8=12
solving above x=2
so cost of lemon =RS2

T + L = 4

from eqn (i) & (ii) A= 10

Now L = A-8
