@DEVENDRA MARGHADE ur soln is wrong.. its 2 hours not 5

Corrected soln:
Ans: 25 km/hr

Let the normal speed be x km/hr, then
Difference between the time taken to cover 300 km at the rate of 'x' and 'x+5' is 2 hours
So, [(300/x) - 300/(x+5)]=2
=> (300x+1500-300x)/x(x+5) =2
=> x^2+ 5x -750=0
=> (x-25)(x+30)=0
=> x=25

Ans: 15 km/hr

Let the normal speed be x km/hr, then
Difference between the time taken to cover 300 km at the rate of 'x' and 'x+5' is 5 hours
So, [(300/x) - 300/(x+5)]=5
=> (300x+1500-300x)/x(x+5) =5
=> x^2+ 5x -300=0
=> (x-15)(x+20)=0
=> x=15

time=distance/speed
300/x=2+(300/(x+5))

(300/x-5)- (300/x)=2; where x is normal speed it will come out to be 30km/hr
