Rs. 10000 and Rs. 6000

Let income and expenditure of a man be 5x and 3x respectively and
income and expenditure of a wife be 3y and y respectively, then
Savings of a man= Saving of a wife
=> 2x=2y
As there savings are 4000 each, 2x=2y= 4000, x=y=2000
So their incomes are 5x=10000 and 3y=6000 respectively

(4000*5)/(5-3)=10000
(4000*3)/(3-1)=6000
