Area= 196 m^2

Given length=60 m, breadth=40 m.
For total area of pavement, considering area along two full lengths(60x1) and area along two breadths(38x1), as 1 m. of breadth sides are already covered in length area.
So, total area of pavement= 2[60x1 + 38x1]=2x98= 196 m^2
