ratio of present ages of SAMEER and ANAND is 10:8=5:4
let their present ages 5x and 4x respectively
3 yrs hence ratio of their ages will be 22:18=11:9
so (5x+3)/(4x+3)=11/9
or,45x+27=44x+33
or,45x-44x=33-27
or,x=6
ANAND'spresent age is 4*6=24yr

Then, 5x + 3 = 11
4x + 3 9

9(5x + 3) = 11(4x + 3)

45x + 27 = 44x + 33

45x - 44x = 33 - 27

x = 6.

Anand's present age = 4x = 24 years.

present ages of Sameer and Anand in ratio
Sameed : Anand
10 : 8 => 10/8 (or) 10x/8x
after 3 years their ages will be 10x+3/8x+3
after 3 years ages in ratio are
Sameed : Anand
22 : 18 => 22/18

we can write that 10x+3/8x+3 = 22/18
18(10x+3)=22(8x+3)
180x+54=176x+66
180x-176x=66-54
4x=12
x=3

so present age of Anand = 8x
=8(3)
=24 years
