first of all the series will be 18,24,5,21,27,8,17,23,4,24,30,?
The solution is...
18+6=24,24-19=5
21+6=27,27-19=8
17+6=23,23-19=4
24+6=30,30-19=11
so 11 is the next term.

1)18,5,8,17,4,30
2)24,21,27,23,24,?
see the 2nd series
(24,21) (27,23) (24,?)
24-21=3
27-23=4
thus we can say the diff btn 24 and the unknown term is 5
hence
24-5=19 is the next term

18+6=24 2+4-1=5
21+6=27 2+7-1=6
17+6=23 2+3-1=4
24+6=30 3+0-1=2

First take two series
1st is 18,24,21,27,17,23,24,30
take pair: 18+6=24
21+6=27
17+6=23
24+6=30
2nd series is 5,8,4,
5+(+3)=8
8+(-4)=4
4+(+5)=9
so 9 is answer

its so easy as
devide the series
18,24,5,21,27,8
18-1=17
24-1=23
5-1=4
21+3=24
27+3=30
therefore 8+3=11
and the next series are as follows
17,23,4,24,30,(ans=11)

18+6=24, (2+4)-1=5
21+6=27,(2+7)-1=8
24+6=30,(3+0)-1=2
So the ans should be 2.

it follows +3 -4 +7 rule
now apply this rule in series
1st series 18,21,17,24
2nd series 24,27,23,30
3rd series 5, 8, 4 ,11
so answer is 11

21+8=29,29-2=27

17+5=23,5-1=4
24+6=30,6+2=8
so ans is 8

Actual question is 18, 24, 5, 21, 27, 8, 17, 23, 4, 24, 30
first divide the series into triplets like (18, 24, 5) ,(21, 27, 8), (17, 23, 4), (24, 30,x)
step 1: compare 1 &2 triplets +3 added for each number
step 2: compare 2 &3 triplets -4 subtracted for each number
and step 3: compare 3 &4 triplets +7 added for each number so the answer is 11
