first digit : 19*6= 114 last digit=19*52=988

a=114 l=988
l=a+(n-1)d
988=114+(n-1)19
n=47.

three digit nos starts from 100 to 999.
so no of digits which are divisible by 19 =999-100= 899 => 899/19.
quotient = 47.

ATQ :
there should be 3 digit number,So First Digit=114
Last digit which is divisible by 19 is 19*52=988

Apply the formula of A.P....An=a+(n-1)d---------------Eq(1)

Where An=988, a=114, common difference d= 19

Applying above value in Eq(1) we get,

988=114+(n-1)19

874=19n-19

893=19n

n=893/19

n=47

Lets solve this in a different manner and in a quick way without using friends.I hope u will like it friends.

The greatest three digit number is 999

Now 999/19=52.57
means simple up to 999 ,52 numbers are completely divisible by 19 including 5 two digit numbers also which are 19, 38 , 57 , 76 , 90.

So required total 3 digits numbers are 52-5=47.
Therefore 47 is the correct answer.Hare Krishna
