shortcut method to find the rank::
first write the given word in alpha order.....> a m n o w
step 1) mark the letter w; now we have 4 letters(a m n o) are left side to it and 4 letters present of all excluding it 'w'
then count 4*fact(4)=96
2) now mark the letter o ; now we have 3 letters are left side to it(excluding w and o) and 3 letters remaining(sum of letters left or right; here its 3)
then count 3*fact(3)=18
3) mark m; in the same way as above; count 1*fact(2)=2
4) mark a; ........................ count 0*fact(1)=0
5) mark n;...........................count 0*fact(0)=0
sum all the above counts and finally add 1 to get the rank
rank==96+18+2+1=117

Do it in descending order of alphabets
1-WONMA
2-WONAM
3-WOMNA
4-WOMAN ----> THIS WORD WE WANT. NOW WOMAN CAN BE WRITTEN IN 5!=120. SO RANK OF WOMAN IS 120-3=117.
