Let the three consecutive numbers be n-3, n, and n+3. So
(n-3)+n+(n+3) = 72,
3n = 72,
n = 24.
Thus the largest among them is n+3 = 27 (c).

shorcut method:
calculate average of given number
3x=72
x=72/3=24
24 is not divisible by 3 so the number is 27.
(or)
these are consecutive numbers divisible by 3
21+24+27 = 72
largest num is 27.

let the 3 consecutive no.s be x,(x+3), (x+6)
x+(x+3)+(x+6)=72,
3x+9=72,
3x=63
x=21
largest number among them = x+6=21+6=27

Generally people are confused that set of natural numbers are from 1 to 9 OR sometimes 0 to 9.But you should know that natural number are infinite started from 1..
Assume our 1st natural odd numbr is 3. Therefore our next natural odd numbr which is also divisible by 3 will be 3+6=9 and next will be 3+12=15 and so on.
According to this question, our equation will be: x+(x+6)+(x+12)=72
3x+18=72
Solving, we get x=18
Hence our largest number becomes x+12=30.

Let the first number be x

Other numbers be (x + 6) and (x + 12)

According to the question

x + (x + 6) + (x + 12) = 81

3x = 63

x = 21

Largest part = 21+ 12 = 33
