Gavaskar got 50 in 50 innings so, total score = 2500 runs.
now at 51st inining, average is, (2500+x)/51 = 51 ( since the average of 51 matches becomes 51 after the 51st match), so now x = 2601-2500 = 101 runs

51inn 51 now add in cross eg(50inn +51) or (51inn +50)
so,the ans is 101.

Explanation:-
Gavaskar total scored upto 50 inings were 50*50= 2500
Gavaskar total scored upto 51 inings were 51*51= 2601
i.e. in 51th ining he scored 2601-2500= 101 Runs

let the first 5o innings be x1,x2,.....x50
so (x1+x2+.....+x50)/50=50=>x1+x2+....+x50=2500
now consider 51st inning as x51
so (x1+x2+.....+x50+x51)/51=51=?x1+x2+...+x50+x51)=2601
by substituting the above value we get 2500+x51=2601=>x51=101
so the runs made in the 51st innings are 101

Sum of first 50 innings = 50*50=2500
Let us say the runs in the 51st inning be x
Then the average will be (2500+x)/51 which is equal to 51.
Therefore,2500+x=51*51=>x=2601-2500=101
So,the runs made in 51st innings will be 101
