In a correctly running watch, the crossing of hands should take place exactly after every (720/11) minutes.
In this watch it takes after (3 hrs 18 min 15 seconds)/3 = 1 hour 6 min 5 sec = 66 (5/60) minutes of watch time.
so, this watch loses time = 720/11 - [66 (5/60)]
=> 83/132 minutes in (720/11) minutes.
so, in 1 day i.e 24* 60 minutes it will lose 83/6 minutes
i.e. 13 min 50 second.

minute hand crosses hr hand 3 times after 3 hrs n 15 minutes bcz for crossing 3 times it takes 3 hrs n hr hand after also moves to 3 no's(frm 12 to 3 or 3 to 6 or any other) but time taken is 3 min n 15 sec more den nrmal..
so total time lost is (3+1/4)*8 min = 26 min

crossing 1st time it takes.. 1 hr 5 min
so crossing 3 times it will take 3 hr 15 mins
acc. to ques extra time taken= 3 min 15 sec = total time lost
