60% of apples sells he had.. so remain is 40% of apples..
In 40% throws away 15%, so, (40*15/100=6) apples only he throws first...
now he had (40-6)=34% is remainder..
next day, he sell 50% of remainder(34%) so, he sell (34*50/100)=17..
another 17 apples he throws away once again..
so, totally 6+17=23 apples he throw

total fruits = 100%
sold fruits = 60%
so remainig fruits = 40%
He throwd 15% of the 40% away.. so thrown fruits are (15*40)100= 6% of the total..
now the remaining fruits are 100-(60+6) =34%
out of which half of them are sold and remaining half thrown away..
so half of 34% =17%..
so total thrown away fruits = (6+17)=23

Let total apples be x;
After 60% sells , remainig will be 2x/5

throwing 15%(6x/100) and he got 17x/50

after selling 50% remaining , he got 17x/100

Total apples threw are 17x/100+6x/100=23x/100

hence 23% apples are thrown away

on first day he threw apples= 6% of the total
on second day he was left with 34 % apples out of which he sold 17 %
then total apples he threw = (6+17)=23%

50 Apples
60% of 50=30 and reminder is 20
15% of 20 is 3 and so erreminder is 17
50% of 17=8.5 and reminder is 8.5
therefore 8.5+3=11.5
so 11.5 is 23% of 50
hence option (B) is answer.

Consider he had 100 apples .
60 % and 40 % = 60 apples 1 group and 40 apples group 2
We have to consider only group 2 i.e 40 apples
(Underline throws keyword we are intersted only with that)
15 % of 40 = 6 i.e these apples he threw remaining are 34
50% of 34 i.e 17 apples . He sold 17 and 17 he threw .
Total apples he threw = 17+6 =23.
23/100*100 = 23% thats the anwer :)
