break the series into groups taking 3elements in a group.now see the difference between the first two is the third....like....
5/6-1/3=1/2
1/2-2/8=1/4.....like this

split it into two series.
2,5,11,17 are alternating prime numbers.
6*2=12+2=14
14*2=28-2=26
so 26*2=52+2=54
so answer s 54

split the series in to two
5. 2,5,11,17 and other one is 6,14,26
in the second series 2 is multiplied by a prime number
2*3=6, leave 5 then 2*7=14, leave 11 then 2*13=26...so leave 17 and 2*19=38 will be the answer
