B is 4th from right. there are 3 between A&B. and C is 1position left of A. so the position of C is (4+3+1+1)th= 9th

A/Q C is immediate left of A
but B is 4th from the right and also 3 boys are in between A & B
so just forget what are all position are before "C"
i will cleared u in fig i.e
9. C 8.A 7--, 6--,5--, 4.B, 3--, 2--, 1--
hence the position of "c" from right is 9 .

3 boys between A and B it means if we check properly, A is 8th from the right.
C is to the left of A.
So, C is 9th from the right.
