52x=17x+(x+300)14
x=200

let no. of people initially is x.
x men takes 52 days to complete the task.
one days work of x men = 1/52
17 days work of x men = 17/52
remaining work = 35/52
this remaining work (x+300) men can do in 52-17-21 = 14 days.
now by applying the basic formula
(m1*d1)/w1=(m2*d2)/w2
x*52 = {(x+300)*14}/(35/52) because w1 = 1; d1 = 52; w2 = 35/52; d2 = 14
x = 200.

Let x no people works initially.

So the left work after 17 days can be done by x people is in 35, but the same work can be done by x+300 is in 35-21=14 days.

so, 35*(x/(x+300))=14

x=200.

initially 200 people worked

in 17 day total work done is 17/52;
so remaining work is=35/52
let initial pepole are x.
so x pepole can 35/52 work in 35 days
so x+300 can '''''''''''''''' 35*X/(x+300)=21
on solving x=200;

let suppose x men are working
x men do tha work in(52-17)=35days
bt
x+300 do it in 14 day
so
35x=(x+300)14
x=200.

we Know, if m1 persons can do a work in d1 days and m2 persons can do a work in d2 days,
then m1*d1=m2*d2

17*m=(300+m)*14
17m = 4200+14m
17m-14m = 4200
3m=4200
m=1400

original number of men be N
for 52 days it become 52 * N
after 17 days 300 added so,
52 - 17 = 35
after 21 days it reduce so,
35 - 21 = 14 days
so, N + 300 work for 17 days
N men work for 17 days i.e N * 17
for 1 days it is
14(N + 300) man days
=> 52N = 17N + 14(N + 300)
52N = 31N + 4200
=> N = 4200 / 21
N = 200 man.... answer
