Length of train is 110 m
Length of Bridge is 132 m
So, to pass train from the Bridge total distance travel is 242 m

Speed of train is 72 km/hr.
Therefore, in 1 sec train will travel 72*(5/18) = 20 m
Now, to pass 242 m time required is 242/20 = 12.1 sec
Option b is correct.

now total distance = 110+132 m = 242 m

so,time = 242/20 = 12.1 seconds

TRAIN CROSSING A STATIONARY OBJECT WITH THE LENGTH
THEN THE FORMULA: (speed of the train)*time=(length of the train+length of the object)
here speed of the train: 72km/h=72000m/h length of the train: 110 meter
length of the bridge: 132 meter
so, 72000*t=110+132
=> t=242/72000 => t= 0.00336 h= 0.00336*3600 sec =12.1 sec (b)

convert it into m/sec=72*(5/18)=20 m/sec.
Total distance covered=110+132=242 meter.

time=distance/speed.
time=242/20
