Solution

36

no of such lines = 8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1 = 36

because first point can have 8 lines with other 8 points.
next point can have additional 7 lines with other 7 points .
...
..
8th point can have one additional line with 9th point.

simply a line is a combination to to or more point
bt there is we take minimum 2 point by which we make line.
o there are 9P2 combinations to choose 2 points form the set of 9 point so that we can make line... here we dont use 9C2 bcoz qus. said that no three of the points of the set are collinear
so that answer is 9P2= 36

i m richa soni i give solution of dis question b4... bt by mistake i put wrong value of the 9P2
so i again give my answer is 9P2= 72 not 36
