let distance b/w calcutta to kanyakumari is = x km
then eqn is
x/44 - x/75 = 4
=> x*(75-44)=4*75*44
=> x = 425.8 km

let distance b/w calcutta to kanyakumari is = x km
then eqn is
x/55 - x/75 = 4
=> x*(75-55)=4*75*55
=> x = 825km

=>t=300/31
d=44*300/31=425.8 kms

ans is 825 km.
if the first train takes x hours then the second train will take x-4 hours.on equating the distance b/w 2 stations we get, 75x=55(x-4) hence x= 11 hrs. hence dist b/w stations is 75*11=825kms.

How it is possible that train with slow speed(ie, @44km/hr) reach earlier(4hr less) than fast train which is running at 75Km/hr.
