from 9:03 onwards --------18,24,30,36,42,48,54,60

B =>
from 9:03 onwards -------- 8,16,24,32,40,48,56,64

Ans : 9:08 (3)

Let "x" be the no. of minutes tank "a" take to drain...
Then tank "b" ll take "(x -2)" minutes

x * 6 = (x - 2) * 8
x = 8

So at d 8th minute both tanks ll have same level

So option (3) 9 : 08 [since it started at 9:00 ]

Before 9:02
A drained 2*6 = 12L
B drained 0L

After n minutes let both of them have same level

12 + 6n = 8n
2n = 12
n= 6

Time = 9:02 + 6 min = 9:08

The water level will be same at the lcm of 6 and 8 ie 48 ltrs. After 8 mints of draining of a, it will be 48 ltrs.so the Time will be 9.08. Ans

6t=8(t-2)
t=8 minutes
time=9:08 [3]

A starts draining at 9:00, after two minutes that is at 9:02 A would have drained 12 liters,at 9:02 B stars draining and we have to equate the amount of water drained so

Suppose it takes x minutes after 9:02 to drain equal amount of water,so

12+6x=8x
=> x=6
so the ans. will be 9:02 hr + 6 minutes
=>9:08

let a can drain water at time t minutes
so according to the question 6*t=8(t-2) or 2t=16 or t=8
So the time is 9 past 8 minutes
so answer is 9:08(option 3)

answer is option 3 as 12+6x=8x which gives x=6 now 6+2=8 therefore time is 9:08

Total drainage in 1 min when both A and B start simultaneously:(8-6)L/m=2L/m
It has been mentioned that A start @ 9:00 and work for 2 min
9:01=6L
9:02=12L
After this both start working and total drainage is 2L/m
To complete 12L time required=12/2=6m
6+2 (of A)=8
So the time is: 9:08

in 2 minutes a drains 12L after 2 minutes b starts drains and its rate is 8L/m.hence after 6 minutes both with have same level means in 8minutes a drains 48L and b drains 48L in 6 minutes.hence both of them at same level at 9:08.

see here the ratio between the drain water speeds are in ratio of 6:8 so here to make them equal we need time in the ratio of 8:6. which can be got by using option 3 which is 9:08

difference in drainage bw tanks = 2lm
leakage by A in first 2 minutes = 12 l
12/2 = 6 minutes
9.02+6 minutes is 9.08

In 2 minutes A would drain 12L of water ... after that B will also start draining and the relative speed of draining will be 8-6L=2L
so 12/2=6min
So 9:02+00:06=9:08

b--> 1min=8L
so, A B

48 48 (9:08)
so at 9:08 the water level in both tank is same i.e 48L...
thus, answer is 9:08.
