No of applicants took the test = 10212 + 23% of 10212
=12560.76
=12560

62% pass every year
===>38% fail every year

No. of applicants failed this year = 38/100*12560
= 4773

(12560*62)/100=7787applicant pass the hiring test.
failed student=12560-7787=4773

as 62% passed so failed 38%
and no of appeared dis year is 10212+23%10212=10212+2348.76=12560.76
failed=38%12560.76=4773

i think
10212 applicants filed in last year and this year candidates were 23% more of previous number of candidates
so candidates appearing this year are 10212+(10212*.23)=12561 (approx)
now 62% passes the hiring test so
passed candidates= .62*12561=7788 (approx)
thus candidates who failed this year=12561-7788=4473
ans could be 4473

10212-7787 = 4773

no. of candidates took test this year=10212+23% of 10212=(1021200+234876)/100=12560.76=12560
no. of candidates fail this year=68%-100%=38%
38/100*12560=4773
