2.5 - 0.6 = 1.9
3.4 - 0.5 = 2.9
x - 1.7 = 3.9
x = 5.6

Ans : 5.6

correct series will be 1.8,3,0.6,2.5,5,0.5,3.4,2,1.7)

(1.8,3,0.6), (2.5,5,0.5), (3.4,2,1.7), x
1.8/3=0.6 2.5/5=0.5 3.4/2=1.7

now 1.8+0.7=2.5, 2.5+0.9=3.4, similarly 3.4+1.1=4.5
here the difference of 1st element of each group is in following pattern
0.7,0.9(0.7+0.2), 1.1(0.9+0.2). so the answer is 4.5.

2.5 - 1.8 = .7
3.4 - 2.5 = .9
x - 3.4 = 1.1

therefore x should be 4.5

that series is not correct. small mistake is there
the series will be like that
1.8,3,0.6,2.5,3,0.5,3.4,2,1.7,....
1.8/3=.6
1.5/3=.5

the series will be like that
1.8,3,0.6,2.5,5,0.5,3.4,2,1.7,....
next term will be 4.5=(3.4+1.1)
because look at the series u will find 2.5=1.8+0.7
then 3.4=2.5+0.9
then 3.4+1.1=4.5

observe the alternate series
3,2.5,0.5,2,?
means 1st-3rd=2nd, 2nd-4th=3rd,
similarly
3rd-5th=4th
i.e,
0.5-?=2
so, ?=0.5-2=-1.5
