3 buffalos + 15 cows + 2 goats
12 ltrs + 7.5 ltr + 0.5 ltrs

Assume number of respective animals are x,y,z.
x+y+z=20---(1) as the total number of animal has to be 20
Amt of milk will be 4x+(1/2)y+(1/4)z=20---(2)
Solving equation 1 and 2 we get
15x+y=60 ----(3)

Since buffalo gives 4litre and total milk is 20, x < 5
But from eq 3, x cannot be more than 4;
Further if x=1 or 2; y>20... Not possible, since total animal is 20
Thus, x=3, y=15, z=2
Ans: 3 buffalos, 15cows, 2goats

11 cows will give 5.5 ltr milk and not 6.5 ltrs.

let no. of buffaloes=x
no. of cows =y
no. of goats =(20-x-y)
no. of .ltrs milk given by buffalos = 4x
no.of ltrs given by cows = y/2
no. of litres by goat(20-x-y)/4
total no.of ltrs of milk = 4x+(y/2)+(20-x-y)/4 =20

solving the equation we get
no. of buffalos = 3
no. of cows =15
no.of goats=2

there are two possible solutions:
1. 4 buffaloes (=16 ltrs) and 16 goats (=4 ltrs).
2. 3 buffaloes (=12 ltrs) + 15 cows (=7.5ltrs) + 2 goats (= 0.5 ltrs)
