hindi=6
tamil=15
telugu=6
Those students speaks only hindi=6-2(from hindi n tamil)-1(from all three)=>3
Those students speaks only telugu=6-1(from all three)=>5
Those students speaks only tamil=15-2(from hindi n tamil)-1(from all three)=>12
total=3+5+12=>20
bt students speaks hindi+tamil=2
and
those speaks all three hindi+tamil+telugu=1
so finaly 20+2+1=23

1)use venn diagram make eqns as a+b+d=6 (for hindi) 2)b+c+d=15 (tamil) 3) d+e=6 for (telgu ) 4) b+d=2 (both tamil & hindi) 4) d=1 because it speaks all 3 lang: after solving a=4,b=1,c=13,d=1,f=5 sum= 24 students

Let no. of students speaking Hindi be h,Tamil be t and Telugu be e
H=6
T=15
E=6
H&t=2
H&t&e=1
Total students=6+15+6-4+2-3+1-1=22
Bcoz students who are speaking any of two or three Lang. get counted twice or thrice respectively when adding the no. of students speaking each Lang. Separately so subtracting

solving by ven diagram
only hindi=6-2(hindi&tamil)-1(all hindi telgu and tamil)=3
similarly only tamil=15-(hindi and tamil)-1(h&ta&te)=12
only telgu=6-1(h &ta &telgu)=5
now adding 3(h)+12(tal)+5(telgu)+1(h&TA&tel)+2(H&Ta)=23

as n(a)+n(b)+n(c)-n(a^b)-n(b^c)-n(a^c)+n(a^b^c)=6+15+6-2-0-0+1=26

note that there 2 students who speak both hindi and tamil and one who speaks all the three languages. The question does'nt say that there are 2 students who speak only hindi and tamil ....
only hindi speaking students=4
only tamil = 13
only telegu =5
all three =1
only hindi n tamil=1
tota 24

FIRST WE HAVE SEE 2 SPEAK BOTH HINDI AND TAMIL
ONE WILL SPEAK ALL THREE LANG
SO (6-3)+(15-3)+(6-1)=20

ans=24 100%correct
p(hindi) + p(tamil) + p(telgu) - {p(hindi intersection tamil) + p(hindi intersection tamil intersection telgu)
= 6 +11 +6 -(2 +1)=24 ans
