He paid the min bill of Rs.41 and maximum bill of Rs.49. So the percentage profit lies between 16 to 20%.

vaibhav 20% of 41 is 8..so percentage of bill shall be 20%. how it could be below 20...option a is correct

b, as he hv 2 pay twice of the tens digit so the min bill is rs 41 and max is 49rs so the percentage is lies in between 16-20%

tip given to the waiter is rs. 8. then ten digit of total bill must be 4. then bill may be 41,43,47,49...then rs 8 is the between 16 to 20 % of the total bill.. so option b is correct.

As tip paid is Rs. 8 so The tens digit no will be 4 and total bill cannot exceed Rs 129 so the numbers having 4 as a tens digit are 41 to 49. Now the ones digit is neither divisible by 2 nor by 5 so from 41 to 49 we are left with 43,47 and 49. Now taking 43 as a bill paid
so the percentage of bill is paid as a tip will be
(8/43)*100=18.xx
so the option b is correct.
