1. 5ltr jug is full and 3ltr jug is empty
2. pour the water of 5Ltr. jug in 3Ltr. jug then 2Ltr. water is left in 5Ltr. of jug
3. empty the 3Ltr. jug and then fill the 3Ltr. jug with the left 2Ltr. water of 5ltr. jug... Now 3Ltr. jug has 2Ltr. water
4. fill the 5Ltr. jug and then pour this water in 3Ltr. water which had 2Ltr. of water in it and so

finally we will will 4Ltr. of water in 5Ltr. jug

First using 3 liters jug will take our 3 time that is 3+3+3=9 liters. And then will pour out 5 liters from that 9 liters water using the other jug. i.e. 9-5=4 liters.

step 1:Fill 5 liters jug and Infuse into the 3 liters jug (5-3=2).
step 2:Empty 3 liters jug in the tank.
step 3:now again infuse into 3 liters jug from 5 liters jug which contain 2 liter water.
step 4:Now fill 5 liters jug with water
Step 5:and infuse into 3 liters jug which already contain 2 liter of water so only 1 liter water con be infuse from 5 liters jug so after infusing 5 liters jug will contain 4 liter of water....

Initially both jugs are filled with water.

1. Empty the 3 litres jug

2. Pour water from 5 litres jug into 3 litres jug. Now 3 litres jug filled and 2 litres of water remains in the 5 litres jug.

3. Again make the 3 litres jug as empty and pour the 2 litres water from 5 litres jug into 3 litres jug.(Now the 5 Litres jug is empty and 3 litres jug contains 2 litres of water)

4. Fill the 5 litres jug using the tank filled with water. Pour the water from 5 litres jug into 3 litres jug until it fills. (3 litres jug had already contained 2 litres of water and remaining 1 litre will be filled from 5 litres jug)

5. Finally we have 4 litres of water in 5 litres jug.
