eric=r-4
iris=r-2
r+2=2(r-2)
r=6
iris age is
6-2=4
after 2 years
iris age=6
roy age=8
multiply 6*8=48

Let Erik's age= X
roy=X+4, Iris=X+2
in 2 years Erik=X+2
Roy=X+6 and accoring to the question X+6=2*(x+2)
X=2
now 8*6=48

let us assume roy age= x
then according to question, roy is 4 year older than erik.. means erik is 4 year younger than roy
so erik age= roy age-4=
r-4
in the same fashion iris age= r-2
after 2 year roy age= r+2
and erik= (r-4)+2=r-2
so according to given condition
r+2=2(r-2) .........after solving
so r=6
iris=6-2=4
but after 2 year 4+2=6
and roy after 2 year 6+2=8
multiplication gives= 6*8=====48

a)48 is correct.
suppose Erik's age is x &Iris's age (x+2)&Roy's age is (x+4)
x+4+2=2(x+2)
or.x=2
so,after 2 yr R=8 yr & I=6 yr.
so, ans is(6*8)=48.

2 years after roy=x+6, erik=x+2
roy will be twice as old as erik=> x+6=2(x+2)=>x=2
roy=2+6=8
erik=2+4=6
product=6*8=48

roy=iris+2,and in 2 years roy=2*erik
therfore,
2*erik=erik+4===>erik=4
roy=8 and iris=6
therefore the ans is 48

then in 2 years roy will be double of erik so,
now it becomes,
x+6=2(x+2)
x=2
substitute x valuue in eq1
roy =6
erik=2
iris=4
2 years hence roy=8
erik=4
iris=6
now 6*8=48
option(a) is correct

SO, R=2E+2-----(2)
EQUATE 1 AND 2
2E+2=4+E
SUB IN 1 AND 3
E=2
IMPLIES R=6 I=4
AFTER 2 YEARS
R=8 AND I=6;
SOLUTION 8*6=48

r=e+4
r=2+i
r+2=2(e+2)
2+4+e=2e+4
e+6=2e+4
e=2
r=6
i=4
(r+2)*(i+2)=8*6=48

48 is the answer.
Roy=Erik+4.......(1)
Roy=Iris+2........(2)
Roy+2=2(Erik+2)....(3)


now solving equations (1),(2),(3)
we get
Roy=6
Erik=2
Iris=4
Now two years later
Roy will be 8 and Iris will be 6
So multiplying 8 * 6=48
