the total no. of apples = 140+400=540
total cost price of 540 apples = 320+640 =960
since,he sells 16 apples for rs. 30
then price of 1 apple= 30/16
then selling price of 540 apples =(30*540)/16 =rs. 1012.5
there fore profit =1012.5-960 =rs. 52.5
therefore % of profit = (52.5*100)/960 =5.468 %

buying price of one Apple.....
=(640+320)/(140+400)
= 1.78 RS
buying price of 16 apples.....
=28.44rs
selling price of 16 apples ...
=30rs is given
profit=30-28.44=1.56rs
= (1.56/30)×100=5.2% profit.
