The probability of selecting of 1 boy from the first group is 1/4, 1 girl 3/4
The probability of selecting of 1 boy from the second group is 1/2, 1 girl 1/2
The probability of selecting of 1 boy from the third group is 3/4, 1 girl 1/4.
The probability of selecting of 1 girl and 2 boys is
P(girl from I group) AND P(boy from II group) AND P(boy from III group) OR
P(boy from I group) AND P(girl from II group) AND P(boy from III group) OR
P(boy from I group) AND P(boy from II group) AND P(girl from III group)
In Math it equals to (AND = "*", OR = "+"):
3/4*1/2*3/4 + 1/4*1/2*3/4 + 1/4*1/2*1/4 = 9/32 + 3/32 + 1/32 = 13/32

Another way of solving it:
Total ways of selecting 3 children from 3 groups of 4 children each = 4*4*4 = 64
Favorable outcomes are if we select: GBB,BBG,BGB
For selecting GBB, no of ways = 3*2*3 = 18
For selecting BBG, no of ways = 1*2*1 = 2
For selecting BGB, no of ways = 1*2*3 = 6
So, total favorable outcomes = 18+2+6 = 26
Thus, required probability = 26/64 = 13/32

For selecting GBB, no of ways = 3*2*3 = 18, because:
1 girl can be selected from first group from 3 different girls in 3 ways.
1 boy can be selected from second group from 2 different boys in 2 ways.
1 boy can be selected from third group from 3 different boys in 3 ways.

The combination of 2 boy and 1 girl are
BBG ,GBB, BGB

so (1/4)*(2/4)*(1/4)+(3/4)*(2/4)*(3/4)+(1/4)*(2/4)*(3/4)= 26/64= 13/32 Ans

7/4.totally 6 girls frm that one can be selected and totallly six boys from that 2 boys can be selected..so favourable outcome is 21 and total outcomes 12
