a:b=5:3
a is 5/5+3=5/8 part
b is 3/5+3=3/8 part
now,
3a=>3*(5/8)
=15/8
4b=>4*(3/8)
= 12/8
now in question it is clearly said what percentage(let it be x) of 3a is (3a+4b)
i.e. convert the given statement in mathematical form:-
x% of 3a=(3a+4b)
=>(x/100) of 3a=(15/8 + 12/8)
=>(x/100)*(15/8)=27/8
=>x=(27 * 100)/15
= 9*20
=180
so, answer is 180%

a:b=5:3, 3a=5b
As 5b=3a, so 4b=12a/5
(3a+4b)= 3a+(12a/5)=27a/5
(3a+4b) as percentage of 3a= 100*(27a/5)/3a= 180

Since a:b is 5:3, so a=(5/3)b
and 3a+4b as % of 3a will be
((3a/3a)+(4b/3(5/3)b) )*100
i.e (1+0.8)*100=180%

3a= 15/8 , 4b = 12/8
x/100*15/8 = 15/8 + 12/8
x/100 = 27 *100
