ADC for a right angled triangle.
Hence,
AD= sqrt (40)

Angle subtended by the diameter at any point on the circumference of the circle is always 90 degrees i.e. Triangle ABD is a right angles triangle.

Triangle ADC and Triangle ADB are similar triangles.
AD/AC= AB/AD
Hence AB= 20cm
Area of semi-circle ={ pi * (r^2)}/2 = 50pi
