Minimum 8 points ..
A wins all matches from B,C,D,E,F,G,H - 14*2 = 28 POINTS
B wins all matches except from A - C,D,E,F,G,H - 12*2= 24 POINTS
C wins all the matches except from A and B. - D,E,F,G,H +20 POINTS
Total points = 28+24+20 = 72 points
40 points left and 5 teams
Minimum points will be when the remaining 5 teams get equal points.
That is 8 points each.

FIRST consider cases : (8c2)*2= 28*2=56 games possible . given 2points in each game . so 112 points total.
then we need to think how to distribute these points so that 4 teams reach semi final.
So we need to take the case where 1 team has least point .
So assume team1 = o point -- wins no games
team2 = 2 point -- wins 1 game
team3= 4 pt-- wins 2
team4= 6 pt-- wins 3
so 4 teams left , they will be going to semi final
we need to distribute remaining 100 points
consider this way :
team5 - 25, team6-25, team-25, team7-25, team-25.
but this is not possible since team point have to be even.
so next case
T5- 24,
T6- 24,
T7- 24,
T8- 28,
I considered this way since one team emerge as winner.
SO minimum point is 24

There is 8 IPL team and every team plays 14 matches as mentioned above in question.
so now we have max points = if First team wins all the matches : 14*2=28 points
second team must have loses 2 matches against the team first bcz we have assumed that Team first won all its matches that simply mean Team First defeated Team second twice so The second maximum points would be : 12*2=24
third would be : 20 points
4Th would be : 8*2= 16 points
so minimum is 16 points required

c wins 10 matches and loss 4 with a and b 10*2=20
