Total Cost price = 24×X
As 1/3rd of the beans spoiled, remaining beans are 2/3 (24) = 16 kgs
Selling price = 200 × 16 = 3200
Profit = Selling price - Cost price = 3200 - 24×X
Given Profit = 2 × Cost price

3200 - 24×X = 2 × (24×X)
Solving X = 44.44

Total Cost price of 24 kg of coffee beans= 24*x
when 1/3rd of the beans were spoiled, remaining beans left= 2/3 (24) = 16 kgs
Selling price of 16 kg beans = 200 × 16 = 3200
gain = Selling price - Cost price = 3200 - 24×X
Given Profit = 2 × Cost price

3200 - 24*x = 2 × (24*x)
Solving x = 44.44

CP=24X
SINCE (1/3) OF 24 =8 GOT SPOILED THEN THE REMAINING WILL BE 24-8=16
THEREFORE THE SP=16*200=3200
ATF
SP-CP=PROFIT
THEREFORE 3200-24X=48X(SINCE THE PROFIT IS TWICE THE CP)
X=44.44%

as the cost price is x/kg
so cp of 24 kg be 24x
now as 1/3 got spoiled so
remaining is = 16 kg
so the cp of 16 kg = 16x
now sp = 16*200
so, 16*200 - 16x = 2(16x)
solving we get x = 66.66

16kg=200/kg
so SP= 3200
Our formula is gain=sp-cp
gain is 1600 sp is 3200
-1600=24x
x=66.66
