the man give a clue i.e. "My oldest child loves chocoalate." the younger child are twin , he does not tell about them so 2,2,9 is the right answer

here the man given the clue about his oldest child that he/she loves chocolate... but he hasnt given diff clues about his younger two children so it shows the younger two r twins... so correct ans is...... B

1,36, 1 sum = 38
1,18, 2 sum = 22
1,12, 3 sum = 16
1, 9, 4 sum = 14
1, 6, 6 sum = 13
2, 9, 2 sum = 13
2, 6, 3 sum = 11
3, 3, 4 sum = 10
tricky clue is that when man said :-" but the sum of the ages is equal to the number of shops in front of your office"
and ofcr said it was still not clear". if the sum of the shop were anythng else then 13 (like-38/22/16/14/11/10. not in rept) ,the ages wuld have been clear to the officr. but only 13 is reptng twice in the set of ages . so ages were not clear still. so anothr clue was needed. upto these we can conclude the sum is 13.
then next clue told us that. the set off number among;
(1, 6, 6 sum = 13
2, 9, 2 sum = 13) ,
there was only one elder child we can say that ages wuld be 2,9,2
