each boy has 3 brothers and 3 sisters(equal)
each girl has 4 brothers and 2 sisters (twice)

let number of boys be B and sisters be S so from question B-1=S
B=2(S-1)
on solving we get S=3 B=4

Since the boys have as many brothers as sisters,there must be 1 boy more than the number of girls and by this we also get to know that this solution fulfill the requirement that each girl has twice as many brothers as sisters(here 1 girl will have 2 sisters and twice of that i.e 4 brothers)

Let the number of boys be B and the number of girls be G
B+G=7
each boy has B-1 brothers and G sisters
=> B-1=G
=>B=G+1
G+G+1=7
2G=6
G=3
B=G+1=4
Hence 4 boys and three girls
