In 60 min, min hand moves by 360 deg
and
hr hand moves by 30 deg.
In 40 min, hr hand moves by 20 deg...wrt 3/0 clock position and 110 deg w.r.t 12'o clock position.


In 40 min, min hand moves by 240 deg.... w.r.t 12 'o clock position.
angle between min and hr hand = 240-110 = 130 deg .. option C

Apply the formula:
30h-11/2m=Angle
30*3-11/2*40
90-440/2=130 !-130!=130 degree
