A tailor had a number of shirt pieces to cut from a roll of fabric. He cut each roll of equal length into 10 pieces.
means
He makes 9 cuts for each roll.
He cut at the rate of 45 cuts a minute.
so he cuts 45/9 = 5 rolls in 1 minute.
in 24 minutes, he will cut 24*5 = 120 rolls.

He makes 9 cuts for each roll.
so, 45 in one min then in 24 min
45*24= 1080
now 9 cut in one roll
so, 1080/9 = 120
