In a class, there are 18 boys who are over 160 cm tall. If these constitute three-fourths of the boys , then total no of boys = 18*4/3 = 24 boys.
the total number of boys (24)is two-thirds of the total number of students in the class, then total students = 24*3/2= 36
no. of girls = 36-24=12

total student=x
no of boys=2x/3
no of girls=1x/3
but
3/4of 2x/3=18
6x/12=18
x=36
=>no of gorls=36/3=12
