A,B,C had 39,21,12 cars each respectively.

Let they have x, y and z respectively.
x-y-z , 2y, 2z [1st transaction]
2(x-y-z), 2y-(x-y-z)-(2z), 4z [2nd transaction]
2(x-y-z), 3y-x-z, 4z [2nd transaction]
4(x-y-z), 2(3y-x-z), 4z-(2x-2y-2z)- (3y-x-z) [3rd transaction]
4(x-y-z), 2(3y-x-z), 7z-x-y [3rd transaction]
Now all have 24
x- y - z = 6.......(i)
3y-x-z = 12......(ii)
7z-x-y = 24.........(iii)
On solving we get,
A had 39, B had 21, C had 12
