48% of planted seeds germinated.

In plot 1, out of 200 seeds 57% is germinated = 57*200/100 = 114 seeds germinated

In plot 2, out of 300 seeds 42% is germinated = 42*300/100 = 126 seeds germinated

Total = Plot 1 + Plot 2 = 114seeds + 126seeds = 240seeds germinated out of 500.

Percentage : 240/500 *100 = 48% pf planted seeds germinated.

57%outof 200seeds in plot1=57/100*200=114
42% germinated outof 300=42/100*300=126
total no of germinated =114+126=240 ,and the no of seeds were planted=200+300=500.
%of plants germinated=240/500*100=48
so answer is 48
