if a labour worked for 25 days he should get 50 Rs.
but in this he is getting 13 Rs less. if he don't go for work for 1 day he will loose 2.5 Rs then
no of days(Absent)=13/2.5=5.2. Means he was absent for 5 days

if a labour worked for 25 days he should get 50 Rs.
but he is getting 12.5 Rs less.
if he doesn't work for 1 day he will loose Rs 2.5 Rs .
so
no of days(Absent)=12.5/2.5=5

so 5 days absent.

Let the no.of days he was absent be x
then
(25-x)*2-x*0.5=37.5
on Solving x=5
So he was absent for 5 days

Let us assume that number of days he is absent as x.
Money earned for working (25-x)days = Rs.(25-x)2
Money fined for his absence = Rs.(0.5 * x)
Now we can easily solve this problem by following equation
((25-x)*2)-(0.5*x)=37.5
we get x=5
So he was absent for 5 days.

Let no of days he is present and absent be x and y respectively

Now x+y=25

Also since he gets paid 37.50

2x-0.5y=37.50

Solving for y we get y=5
